First FO of Quarantine

Derecho is off the needles and ends are woven in. It still needs to be blocked, but I’m counting it as finished. For some reason, I didn’t enjoy doing the bottom hem short-row shaping. I think I was just feeling done at that point, but I’m happy with how it turned out. The timing couldn’t be more perfect. The weather here is warming up, and the yarn for my next project just arrived in the mail!

Of course I’ve already cast on for a pair of fingerless mitts. I thought I had a pattern picked out, but after looking at it more closely, I decided I didn’t like the cuff. I searched Ravelry for another pattern, but ultimately decided just to do my own thing. I’ve knit enough fingerless gloves that I should be able to work it out. Fingers crossed!
